Discovering amazonas
Educational games for children and adults

The idea to create this educational material arose from the lack of scientists in the Amazonian communities. We have different natural reserves in the Peruvian Amazon. Unfortunately, we have no or very few local scientists.

This educational material has been created to encourage children and young people to do science. It also aims to raise awareness about the beauty and importance of the Amazon and therefore protect it.

Many children are familiar with the flora and fauna of the Amazon but are unaware of their scientific names. With this material they will acquire, as if playing, scientific knowledge about the biodiversity of the Amazon.

This teaching material for children and adults consists of 48 photographic cards (24 pairs) of different species of flora and fauna taken mostly by our volunteers in the Amazon.

Each card and its image have brief scientific information about the image on the card. In addition, it comes with a QR code, which can be used to find specific scientific information on our website. It can also be used for group research tasks when working with older children.

In addition, this educational material comes with an instruction manual with 10 ideas for playing with cards. Each game helps children develop different skills, such as concentration, memory, interaction, creativity, communication, teamwork, etc.

This educational material is created for children ages 3 and up and up to 10 players can participate.

TIP FOR TEACHERS and PARENTS: When playing any of these games, the correct names of animals and plants should be used to promote familiarity with the correct scientific terms.

25% OF THE SALE OF THIS PRODUCT WILL BE DONATED TOWARDS OUR NGO SEMILLAS LIFE.
