November brought quieter moments at our headquarters in the Amazon, yet it was a month filled with meaningful progress beneath the surface. Even though no new donations arrived this month, our focus remained on strengthening relationships, planning ahead and building solid foundations for the future.

🤝 A Stronger Partnership With the Municipality
Our collaboration with the local municipality grew significantly this month. Together we will reopen the old library that had been forgotten by almost everyone in the community. This space will once again become a place for learning and connection. We will also renovate and reopen the three museum houses dedicated to German, Austrian and Peruvian cultural heritage. Restoring these places will support education, cultural identity and responsible tourism across our region of Peru and the Amazon.
🧑🏫 Volunteers and English Teaching Plans for 2026
We are happy to share that volunteers for the first months of 2026 have already been confirmed. Among them is someone who is developing a long-term and structured plan for our English lessons. This new curriculum will allow our English teaching volunteers to work with clear goals, consistent lesson quality and measurable results. It is a step toward more reliable and impactful education for the children we serve.
🗂️ Strengthening Our Backoffice
Another focus this month has been building a stronger backoffice. Better financial systems, more efficient administration and improved volunteer onboarding will help us begin the new year in a much stronger position. These improvements support every project we run in the Amazon, ensuring that future donations and volunteer time are used responsibly and effectively.
🌍 New Collaboration in Oxapampa Starting March 2026
Looking ahead, we are preparing for an exciting new collaboration in Oxapampa. Beginning in March 2026, we will work together with a local organization to offer German language lessons to the community. This initiative expands our educational efforts beyond English teaching volunteers and strengthens our network of language and culture programs throughout Peru. It reflects our commitment to supporting intercultural understanding, community development and accessible education across diverse regions of the country. Preparations are already underway and we look forward to opening this new chapter in 2026.
🔮 Looking Ahead
With new learning spaces being revived, structured English teaching plans taking shape and stronger internal systems being built, December and the early months of 2026 look promising. Our work in the Peru Amazon continues with patience, dedication and deep respect for the community and environment that make this region so unique.
