At Semillas Life, we believe that education and culture are the seeds of a better future. We are proud to introduce the Laly Llama book series—a project born from the heart of our Founder and CEO, Christian M. Navarro, to inspire the next generation of global citizens.

A Family Journey: The Heart Behind the Story

The inspiration for Laly Llama began at home. Christian drew from the lives of his own family to bring these characters to life. Laly represents his adventurous 6-year-old daughter, while the other main characters are inspired by his sweet 2-year-old son, his wife, and Christian himself.

The idea took shape during their family travels. Watching the boundless curiosity of his daughter and the gentle nature of his son, Christian realized that the world itself was the best classroom. He began crafting stories that captured the magic of discovery through a child's eyes.

From the Andes to the World

Christian, originally from Peru, chose to start Laly’s first adventure in his homeland. As a little llama, Laly is a symbol of the Peruvian Andes, making it the perfect place to begin her journey.

The second book travels to Germany, the birthplace of Christian’s wife and children and where the family currently resides. But the journey doesn't stop there! Laly Llama will continue to visit new countries in every book, inviting children—and their parents—to learn about diverse cultures, unique traditions, and global history alongside Laly and her family.

Every Laly Llama book is designed with a pedagogical purpose. Our goal is to teach children about:

• Global Cultures: Embracing the beautiful diversity of our world.

• Nature & Conservation: Inspiring a love for the environment and the importance of protecting it.

• Kindness: Promoting empathy and compassion in every interaction.

Each book is filled with vibrant illustrations and fun adventures, concluding with a special list of tips to help readers apply these lessons in their own lives.

As a non-profit, Semillas Life relies on the incredible dedication of our volunteers and interns. To ensure the sustainability of our projects in the less privileged communities of the Peruvian Amazon, Christian has dedicated 25% of all book proceeds to directly support our organization.
